BREAKING NEWS! Earthquake strikes JAPAN

Another eight people were missing, fire officials said. Several landslides covered roads, some highways buckled, a few bridges collapsed and bullet trains stopped, but two nuclear power plants in the region were not affected, officials said.The quake, which hit at 8:43 a.m. (7:43 p.m. ET Friday), was centered 100 kilometers (60 miles) north of Sendai, Japan, in southern Iwate Prefecture, the Japanese Meteorological Agency said. Several strong aftershocks followed, it said.
